Doctor/Hospital Selection.
FMT will assist you in selecting a qualified doctor and hospital for your medical procedure. Our family and friends use the same hospitals and clinics we recommend. We are networked to locate the best doctors and clinics for your particular medical requirements.
Lodging.
Based upon your guidance, we will advise you on the 3, 4 or 5-star hotels in the vicinity of your hospital. If you require an extended recovery period, we will provide suggestions on resorts and spas. If you need to remain close to the hospital during your recovery, FMT can arrange accommodation at an executive or standard apartment nearby.
Transportation.
Once you arrive, the stress of traveling is over. FMT will meet you at Thailand’s new, world-class, Suvarnabumi Airport and transport you by private car to your hotel or hospital. We only transport one client at a time and we use the largest SUV available in Thailand, so you don’t have to worry about being squeezed into a minivan with eight other tourists and their luggage. FMT will also transport you to your initial medical consultation and later to the hospital at your appointed time for admission. We understand the traffic patterns and limited English spoken by most taxi drivers, so we will ensure you are on time for these two important events. Also, transport for your departure from your hotel to Suvarnabumi airport is included in our standard services.
Communication.
US customers can call our toll-free phone number, (888) 794 6602. Other customers can call our Bangkok number, (66) 84 207 7712. Please note Bangkok time is 12 hours ahead of the US east coast. We will return your call as soon as possible or at the time you indicate in your voicemail.
Upon arrival at your hotel, FMT will provide you with two cell phones. If one phone should malfunction, or you forget to charge it, you still have a backup phone. Additionally, if you travel with a companion, you will have the capability to separate for short periods and still be in contact via cell phone. FMT will be available on speed dial 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you. If you have a problem we can provide a Thai speaker to solve the problem over the phone, or we can send an FMT representative to your location. Additionally, if the situation warrants, you can call the Tourist Police at the number on the back of your phone. FMT also provides pre-paid phone cards at cost. Using the phone card to make an overseas call is much cheaper than using a hotel phone.
If you have a laptop, we will assist you in setting up a Skype (VOIP) account, so that you can call anywhere in the world for a few cents a minute.
Additional services.
FMT offers a full range of concierge services. Depending upon your medical condition, you may want to tour Bangkok and the surrounding area for a few days, while you adjust your sleep pattern to the new time zone. This affords travelers an additional opportunity to rest before a major surgery, if necessary. FMT can coordinate activities based on your personal interests. As long as your wishes are legal, ethical and moral, we will accommodate you. Depending upon your desires, extra fees may apply.
